Welcome to Fort Hoofddijk

Fort Hoofddijk was built in 1879 as one of the fortifications around Utrecht that are part of the 'New Dutch Waterline' - a UNESCO World Heritage. Since 1963, it is home to Utrecht University's paleomagnetic laboratory.
